Ok we introduced a little bit of raw cane and cocconut sugar but it still doesn’t mean we can bake cakes every day…I still make a balance between using dates and sugar. Dates have always been the best sugar replacement for any cake, muffins, and also bananas are a great sweetener! Banana pancakes are No1 for toddlers 🙂

Now they grow so fast, they need more healthy, whole food fuel for development. Therefore these are some of my daughter favourites!

  1. Veggie pancakes with steamed marrows (we call them tikvice) and salmon “steak”.

Finely grate 2 marrows and one carrot then add 2 spoons of greek yogurt, 1 spoon of olive oil, 1 big cup of flour and 2 eggs. Add a little bit of sea salt, dried garlic powder and parsley. Mix it well and make small pancakes on the preheated pan. You can even put the mixture in the heatproof glass and bake it in the oven.

2. Beef stew

Chop one onion with 2 carrots and (dinstaj, dinstaj!) simmer it for 10 min. I used butter, not oil for that. Then finely cut some beef that has a little bit of fat on it and cover it for 10 min. Add water, salt, pepper and chopped corriander, parsley or whatever you like. Cover it and from time to time add more water. Cook it all for 2h and in the end add some tomato sauce or chopped tomatoes.

3. Chiki soup

I call it chiki soup because it has chikpeas, green peas and amazing pumpkin!

Cut pumkin, add peas (chick and green -peas) and add some corn, too (why not) 🙂 Cool it well and then mix some flour with milk on the side and add ot to the soup (potaž) so it gets thicker. Enjoy!

4. Lenja pita, Easy Peasy fruit pie

Chop any fruit: plums, nectarines or peaches ^^ Put them inside the heatproof glass without oiling it. On the side, in the separate bowl you will make a dough using: 120g of the good butter (irish for example), 2 eggs, 1 sachet of vannila sugar (or finely chopped vanilla pod/extract….), flour, a little bit of the grated lemon peel, lemon juice (use half of the lemon), and just a bit of cinnamon for the flavour.

First nicely mix butter with sugar and then start adding eggs and other ingredients. Make a dough and spread it over with a rolling pin or your hands so that it covers the bowl over the fruits. It doesn’t have to be precise. It just has to “connect” the fruits alltogether.

Hope your kid likes these tasty delish food 🙂
