Here we are, at the beginning of the second part of the journey!

Following my prev post about this matter…

Here I will cover 3 important matters pregnant ladies should be aware of at this point.

1. Anemia

Not that uncommon, anemia affects more than 30% of pregnant women especially if you are genetically prone to it. It’s actually not a big deal if you start mending it at the very beginning. I noticed my fatigue, pale skin, dizziness, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea which all contributed to an anemic state of my body. The climate plays a huge role, too. The quality of food, hot weather, lack of greenery can make it worse. So I changed the climate and went to my home country where it’s rainy, around 20 degrees Celsius and the food is just amazing, good quality. From supplements I’m using (because I must) pregnancy supplements Femibion and natural concentrate which is the right mix for anemia in pregnancy made of the correct herbs, vegetables, and fruits- Floradix liquid.
Don’t forget your simple vitamin C tablets to take before any medication for anemia, the iron will get absorbed with the help of vit C. If you are taking calcium, then don’t take the iron supplements in the same time with calcium, because Ca inhibits Fe (Fe won’t get absorbed). Ca is in diary products, right, so think of 2h apart from taking these two important elements.

2. Physical activity

It is so very much really utterly important! At least 15-30 min a day of walking in the woods (preferably in the woods and open space for sure), light prenatal exercises for your affected posture, arms, legs, lower back using 1kg dumbells for example. You can enjoy a huge number of yoga relaxing prenatal meditations and stretchings, swim preferable in the sea, enjoying some natural vit D- SUN. Do something new, learn something on a side, read a good funny book (Pride and Prejudice XD) and avoid anyone and anything that sucks your energy or is simply toxic. You can start buying some baby stuff from the list you have been impatiently making and enjoy your free, relaxing time. Nausea has subsided by now anyway, so you have now more energy and finally pregnancy doesn’t feel like you are sick…

3. Affection and intimacy

Hugs. Lots of hugs. Feeling anxious about a road you never went on before? Talk a lot, share with your beloved partner. Hugging equals calmness and relaxation. Oxytocin IS the “cuddle hormone.” Even your loving pet can feel you being upset or just simply confused and indeed in need of some hugging. If you are that kind of person that is calmed down only if getting satisfied by learning and gaining as much of the information as possible then that is fine too. You feel “yourself” when you are in control of the future that is coming. You need to read, watch, gain knowledge and therefore feel prepared. That is also a motherly instinct that will soon protect your family.
