One city should be environmental-friendly, green with lots of parks, sustainable, with solutions that use technology towards building a better quality of air, water, and life that basically doesn’t have to be a race, excruciating and desperate struggle, but most the time it’s the other way around.

You don’t want to waste your youth by waking up at 5am and immediately enrolling yourself in the 5 lines highway race risking your life just so you can come to work where you have to be a multitasking unemotional robotic service. And then another round of driving home tired and frustrated from all those people in the metal structures horning and stressing your heart out. Then you wait for 2 hours to calm your “system” down and do the same all over again. You wake up with dust and smog and breathe the cooling system, spraying your throat away from germs.

So here is the list of the cities that are fulfilling these terms- the city is smaller in size, has all parts of the city well connected, has good infrastructure that is well maintained- like the metro, and trains; it’s promoting healthy living and commuting by bicycle, eco public transport and limiting the usage of single cars.

One of the cities that are highly ranked as a good place to live is Copenhagen, Denmark. Denmark is working on reducing greenhouse gas emissions since 2017. They are using analytical software which reports on energy, and indoor climate in real-time and is focused on energy saving. Denmark is successfully promoting solar panels on the rooftops and charging stations for emerging electric cars. The country is constantly working on solutions that can help solve traffic congestion like introducing more autonomous minibusses. In Denmark, around 60% of waste is recycled because of the unified mindset of the citizens. They are traditionally recycling since a long time ago. There are also more than 25 food chain suppliers and partners that made a big agreement about halving food waste by 2030. The danish cycling culture is environmentally and healthily life-friendly and the city itself is made that way so it’s easier to commute by bike than by car. And that could be your workout also. You don’t have to be a hamster on the wheel in the closed room. Denmark is also one of the best countries in the world that provides a fair social security and retirement system.
It’s all about the will and the unified mindset.
