Magical terracotta, pastéis de nata, seven hills & fado…

lively Lisabon

Charming streetscapes with their spontaneous, charismatic people cannot be retold. This is one of those world places you need to feel and see yourselves. Experience it by letting the city show you its own way of living and understanding life. Let it guide you by itself through its narrow busy streets with a tuk-tuk, up and down the stairs of the seven hills the city resides upon. And there is no wrong path. Lose yourself. Get lost on purpose. There is no pattern to follow here.

Miradouro means viewpoint- this one is View from St George’s Castle (wearing my grandma’s blouse from 1980, taking her with me)
miradouro da senhora do monte

up an down, between the hills

Try some Port wine, delicious seafood, and pastries, enjoy a panoramic view over Alfama decorated with Azulejo tiles, and climb Santo André’s hill where is Miradouro da Graça from which you can also admire a beautiful view at Lisboa. There are many romantic 19th-century gardens, like for example Jardim do Torel and so many beautiful cathedrals spread across the city.
