You must think it’s dirt, but it’s not.

Deep cleaning and overwashing your face with salicylic acid astringents, using cleansers and toners, pore strips won’t help. Stripping down the layer of your skin’s microbiome will make you even further away from healthy-looking skin. By overcleaning your skin, you are making it more prone to boost “bad” bacteria.

“How come I have them?”

Well, most probably you are eating a lot of sweets, greasy food, fast food (fat=omega 6), soda drinks, rice, chips, cheese, butter, milk, and don’t forget whey protein powder.

Now, you should do some cleaning of your metabolic system (gut) by starting with simply drinking more water. You can also add some lemon to it. Some nations like to take warm lemonade first thing in the morning, so you can try that also. Start eating healthy with a lot of vegetables and fruits taken on a daily basis and incorporate olive oil instead of soya or corn oil. Don’t forget seafood, and fish rich in omega 3, zink, iodine, and other minerals and vitamins that are crucial for our health.

Regarding the skincare routine, you can check another post I made about acne in 30s. Try washing your face just with lukewarm and cold water instead of using any active ingredient and focus on moisturizing more in order to restore your lipid barrier and microbiome. Don’t forget the retinol or retinoid gel/creams, as well as niacinamide. They will help you with pretty much anything (if you use them properly)!
